I only bought it to play with jailbreaking so I wouldn't mess up my 3G. It works great and is loaded with 3.0.1.

I think you could just pop in your SIM and go with it. It was never activated through itunes and was jailbroken. Then I updated to 3.0.1 and iTunes still didn't ask to activate it but cydia was gone. I'm a noob in those regards. I'd be happy to answer any questions here or through ebay.

Not trying to troll or anything, but given that an 8GB 3G is only $99 with a contract, $50 as a starting bid is a bit high.
Sell or send me your vintage Mac things if you don't want them.

But you HAVE to get a 2 year contract to get that price. The advantage of getting a used phone off ebay is you aren't committed. You can jailbreak, unlock, use another carrier, even AT&T's pre-paid plan.

I checked completed auctions and similar condition phones were going for ~$125 so I don't think my starting bid is out of hand.
