hey guys,

if you go to the apple store online, look at the three powerbooks sitting next to eachother. Right under that it says:

Powerbook from $1599

Is it just me, or did that say:

Powerbook from $1499

just the other day?

New powerbook coming out?

Yeah I caught that too a few minutes ago....I seriously doubt they could be updating the Powerbooks this quick. Maybe we will get lucky but its probably just a mistake.

It could mean that those $1499 models were of Panther last week and the $1599 are of Tiger since it came out Friday. Or a Powerbook G5 is coming out this June... lol.

It would make sense to get rid of the Combo Drive models altogether and just offer SuperDrive ones at a lower price. I suspect that's what's going to happen once the existing supply of Combo Drive models dwindles.

it says $1499 right now for me

or is that because of my student discount?
