Well, there's bound to be Intel whining for months and months to come. Eventually most people will snap out of it, I'm sure.

The CEO Approval Tracker is not a scientific poll and only reflects the opinions of those users who choose to participate.
Having said that, just look at Steves record vis-a-vis Robert Wayman (HP) and Kevin Rollins (Dell).

Hmm, not sure I trust a site that can't even get the CEO of one of the largest companies in the world correct.

That company being HP. Mark Hurd was appointed CEO at the end of March, but yet they still have a self proclaimed temporary CEO listed for April and open for people to vote on now.

The drop on Jobs is likely due to all the Mac zealots too busy arguing that PowerPC is better for some technical merit, and conveniently ignoring an 18 month period of stalling at 500mhz, or the G5 peformance not growing as quickly as competitors. They will get over it once they realize that they can either run an Intel system with Windows, or an Intel system with OS X, and find they still can be zealots against Windows at least.

I'm gonna miss the PowerPC Macs. but thats a different discussion. As pointed out earlier, much of the aura of the Mac had to do with it's superior 'brain'...thats lost, and so it's glorified image has been tarnished.
I wonder.....i wonder why Apple couldnt instead purchase/ merge with Freescale, and have them develop the PPC with specific emphasis on home computing/ Macintosh needs. that would have been awesome, but oh well...guess we'll never know.

As far as Jobs' approval rating declining....this is quite a drastic change for mac users who preach the PPC vs Intel, and RISC vs CISC computing to other technophiles....so it's no surprise.

I for one, am glad we'll have a machine capable of running Mac software and Windows software natively, and presumably in a 64-bit environment....and no longer will Mac nerds like ourselves have to face blatant accusations from pc-geeks about poor performing/more expensive mac hardware (i hope).

It was a good decision technically, strategically and financially especially IBM is being a whore to the highest bidder.

Cheers

Get upset when you heard of the Intel news? Can't sleep?

Signs you may be a zealot
