I have a small radio program and its website, http://www.moofunk.com/ , uses a small database to keep track of which songs were played when.

I am a member of the Apple iTunes Affiliate program on Linkshare, and I cannot figure out a way to create iTunes links on the fly. The only way I know is to manually log in to Linkshare and use the Link Maker tool to manually search for an artist, find the song, and copy a long html tag.

I tried to figure out if I could get it from just the URL, but it seems to use a sort of encoding. Here's a sample URL the tool outputs:
http://click.linksynergy.com/fs-bin/...partnerId%3D30

Anyone have any idea how link to individual songs automatically, or even just run a search on the iTunes store while still getting credit through Linkshare ad revenue?

I don't know the linkshare method, and it's going to probably require you to make each one seperately, because they want those statistics.

if you just want a link into the itunes store, the link is:

itms://phobos.apple.com/WebObjects/MZSearch.woa/wa/advancedSearchResults

and the query strings you can add are
* songTerm
* albumTerm
* artistTerm

so for example

itms://phobos.apple.com/WebObjects/MZSearch.woa/wa/advancedSearchResults?songTerm=Golden&artistTerm=J urassic+5&albumTerm=power+in+numbers
