Is PodTube (YouTube to iPod converter) working for anyone?

Hey ho all,
Downloaded the free PodTube tool to download and convert YouTube videos to MPEG-4 in iPod format, ostensibly with a single click.
djodjodesign
Unfortunately, it invariably hangs at some point after downloading.
It pulls only about 3% of CPU load, and nothing ever happens.
15" Powerbook G4, 10.4.7.
I'd love for this thing to work...
Anybody else?

I use podner, it works with all my types of downloaded movie types.
Good luck.

You can't easily download YouTube films. They're embedded flash video (.flv files).
Podner does not convert them.

Okay. I've actually had a couple of tries partly work (ffmpeg launched and converted the video), though I had to append the ".mp4" extension to the file and it didn't get added to iTunes.
Then a single attempt actually worked as advertised.
The last one again failed to launch ffmpeg entirely, leaving me with an unconverted .flv file on the desktop.
I have, however, discovered that iSquint ( iSquint - iPod Video Made Easy. ) - the absolutely excellent and free alternative to Podner (it actually came first IIRC) will convert .flv files.

For me, I have Firefox (DeerPark - the one that's compiled for Intel Macs) and I use it with this Extension called VideoDownloader (which unfortunately doesn't work with the latest version of Firefox/DeerPark). But all you need to do is go to this link and you can easily get the .flv files.
And then use iSquint to convert the .flv to .mp4
Cheers

That's still a two-step process.
And it involves using Firefox.
I like the elegance of what PodTube is *supposed* to do, but unfortunately doesn't...with a single click.
