It seems there should be a way to program a hotkey or whathaveyou to automatically load up Boot Camp w/ the Windows partition instead of always having to go into Preferences then Bootcamp, then start it up there.

Any recommendations?

Thanks.

Hold down the option key when you boot up. It will give you one icon for each of your bootable partitions. Pick the windows partition. This is a one-time thing- it does not change the preferred boot drive, so you can leave it set to boot into OSX normally, and just use the option key when you want to go into windows.

Thank you. I am aware of this option. I believe you misunderstood me though.

What I am wanting to do is have the ability to press one button on my keyboard while in Mac OS X to boot into Windows automatically instead of going through the normal process. Is this possible?

No, but you could probably write a script or an Automator workflow.

I don't have the background to write scripts or workflows. I'm just a user.

Users are what Applescript and Automator are meant for. Try them out. They won't bite.

I did look at each app, but I was unable to find out how to use them successfully, especially with assigning a key on my keyboard to change over to Windows.

Can you provide any tips or help with this? I'd be happy to do it if I knew how to.
