Anyone know how I can deactivate the default Mac OS X dock so I can use Dragthing as my dock?

When I first installed Dragthing my docks were overlayed on top of each other. So I then "hid" my Mac dock so that it only popped up when I moused over the bottom of my screen. This did the trick but I am being a perfectionist and want a way to disable it so that it won't pop up at all (unless I en-able it). Thanks.

You can't deactivate the dock. You'd lose the trash can and Dashboard, for one thing, and I think Expose is a feature of the dock, too. (Yes, the trash can can be replaced by third party features and you may not ever use Dashboard or Expose).
