iMac - HAL
External FW - CRM-114
MBP Boot Partition - TMA-1
MBP Secondary Partition - AE-35

The theme should be pretty obvious. I'll be impressed if anyone knows what "CRM-114" is, though.

PB - Spanky
G4 Sawtooth - Billy, Sid, Buster
Printer - Finbar

Guess which one is the odd one out!

I guess I name mine fairly boring names.
Internal - Tiger
FW External Partition 1 (for iTunes) - iTunes
FW External Partition 2 (for Leopard) - Leopard
USB External Partition 1 (for Time Machine) - Time Machine
USB External Partition 2 (for Leopard Install) - Mac OS X Install DVD
Then the other partition on Internal (for Windows) - Untitled (UGH I hate this, luckily I have parallels occupying it often enough)

These days it's just boring names, but I did have this star naming scheme going for a while: Rigel, Arcturus, Betelgeuze, Sirius and one more. There was also the period with a partitioned drive named sai'din and sai'dar, when I was reading Robert Jordan.

Yep. Too late. The point of my above post was to publicly remind everyone that there are some rules around here that help EVERYONE use the forums better.

My MBP's drive is called "Shiny". I have yet to name either my network drive or my desktop USB external drive.

PowerBook internal drive: mdc
160gb external - one sixty
500gb external - five

I figured one sixty and five are easy to tell which drive is which while keeping icons the same.
