Yeah. Swipe to navigate is nice, as are the bookmark tiles, but the consolidated address and search do neither well.

1) Only shows the site name not the page name when you aren't using it.
2) Shows half the choices for addresses and search because it's cramming them both into a thimble.
3) When you go to the bar after it's been deselected, all the text is selected but not copyable. How much of a pain in the ass do you need to make it for me to add a search term? That's the biggest WTF.

I miss the previous operating system... 7 is, as is Safari, like working with an MS device. I was seriously thinking of upgrading my iPhone 4 to the latest 5s, no way now with this clunky OS. My phone and latest edition iPad have both been buggy and down right annoying to use since I updated to the latest iOS 7. This was not ready for prime time in my book. Not happy in Michigan. I actually miss my flip phone.

Well, I wouldn't say it's that bad. I certainly like my 5s.

I can "deal" with the annoying GUI, but the continual crashing and hours long recharge times are beyond the pale.

Okay. Those would be deal breakers. I've been lucky and not had either crashing or recharge problems.

Where the hell is RSS in Safari? Disappointing to see so many complaints.

You have not been lucky. The iPhone with iOS 7 and mobile Safari are perfect.

Anyone who believes otherwise does not know what he/she is doing and must try harder.

Well I for one like the dual-search bar and is immensely relieved I don't need to click in one space or the other depending on whether I'm searching or not.....but is anyone else finding that there's something wrong with YouTube videos embedded in other sites? iPad 3rd generation takes a looooong time to load - upon clicking on the video it gives me a spinning wheel for at least 15-30 seconds before starting to play, and sometimes permanently - I need to refresh the page. Wireless signal great. Never had this problem before - click on video, starts playing a few seconds later.

I tend to use the YouTube app (which is actually quite good), and it won't successfully get past the loading screen about 1 time in 10.

@Shortcut,

Do you have an iPhone too, or just an iPad?

Maybe one of these days MacNN will make a reliable mobile news site which will properly resolve a link such as that.

Well using 4S with iOS 7 is running perfectly no problems, I don't play games but for Safari
works well. On a iPhone 4 it's a bit slow.

@subego I'm not sure if I understand you for N°1,
If your talking about tab-browsing, it shows the full name of site for me!

N°2 yes it's annoying even when in the second search bar below when you want to add more info. This act can delete the search in that field.

N°3 When you want to copy the URL or search, for search you have to complete the search then
tap ⍐ to bring up the "share field" Mail, Add to HomeScreen, Copy.

Oh... I was asking with regards to the combined search/address bar.

On an iPad you have room to display lots of links and Google suggestions. On an iPhone, you have room for six total with the keyboard.

I usually get three search suggestions. The search suggestions I usually need are ranked 5 or 6, and therefore not visible.

Here's an example. Not even close to getting me "Safari sucks".

To be fair, when it comes to the link choices it gave me, what's not to love about "Samsung luxury brown".

I have a 4S, and installed 7 soon after it became available. While I like the added features, I think between the added drain on the battery, slow start up time of some apps, and occasional crashes, I feel that if it were as simple as clicking a button, I would revert back to 6 in a heart beat. I'll have a 5S soon, and hopefully the faster processor and added ram will address the main issue I've experienced.

And for an earlier person to post: "You have not been lucky. The iPhone with iOS 7 and mobile Safari are perfect. Anyone who believes otherwise does not know what he/she is doing and must try harder." this is laughable. iOS7 is not perfect, and one would have to be delusional to think otherwise. To say the we must "try harder" leaves me to ask "try harder than what? iOS6? if so, why should someone have to try harder, when they just want something as responsive, and possibly better than what they gave up. Maybe I'm asking for too much in just having a phone operating system as reliable as the old one.

Man... this app is still a ridiculous suck vector.

Who designed the "tabs" on the iPhone version. I still hate this. What a ****ing train wreck.

And, it's truly the height of Apple arrogance to think the page name is disposable information.
