Hi guys, I installed that network update (auto update...).

See no difference - anyone figured something out?

Hopefully it fixes that annoying wake from sleep/networking issue in 10.1.5... In fact, I'd bet my left shoestring that's what it does.

It seems to have fixed an Appleshare problem I had with my iBook. I used to have volumes mounted from an iMac disconnect after a wake from sleep, then not be able to access that iMac at all. Funnily enough, I could STILL access my other network services just fine.

But, at least for now, all seems well again.
Computer thez nohhh...

For some reason, the installer requires 300 MB of free hard disk space on the boot partition, which is a slight annoyance for me at the moment. Why on earth does a 700K update require 300 MB!?

Oh, and how come MacNN hasn't got this on its front page?

Nasrudin sat on a river bank when someone shouted to him from the opposite side: "Hey! how do I get across?" "You are across!" Nasrudin shouted back.

iTunes used to cut out for a few seconds when I connected to my ISP via dial-up but that no longer appears to be the case.

I'm sure someone is curious what exactly was updated. So, here is the lsbom:

./System/Library/CoreServices/SystemVersion.plist
./System/Library/Extensions/AppleGMACEthernet.kext/Contents/Info.plist
./System/Library/Extensions/AppleGMACEthernet.kext/Contents/MacOS/AppleGMACEthernet
./System/Library/Extensions/AppleGMACEthernet.kext/Contents/PkgInfo
./System/Library/Extensions/AppleGMACEthernet.kext/Contents/Resources/English.lproj/InfoPlist.strings
./System/Library/Extensions/AppleGMACEthernet.kext/Contents/version.plist
./System/Library/Frameworks/IOKit.framework/Versions/A/IOKit
./System/Library/Frameworks/IOKit.framework/Versions/A/Resources/Info-macos.plist
./System/Library/Frameworks/IOKit.framework/Versions/A/Resources/version.plist

It's pretty small.
The server made a boo boo. (403)

And this update did no harm at all, although this morning again I have been waiting for ages to be able to unlock my screensaver <img border="0" title="" alt="[Frown]" src="frown.gif" />
