I have a MBP and for some reason I cant get my dock to pop up. I went to the preferences and the auto hide/show check mark is selected. I also tried to restart my MBP and it didnt help. What else should I try to get my dock to come up when I move my mouse to the bottom of the screen?

I assume your screen is set to the right resolution, I take it the dock works fine when auto show/hide is turned off or does it never work?

Im am not sure about the screen resolution? How do I check that? The dock does work fine when I have the auto show/hide turned off. When I turn it on the dock hides and I cant get it to pop back up when I scroll my pointer over it. I have found out that if I right click where the dock is the dock will then pop up? Im lost here since I am new to mac and this is my first problem ever.

Try deleting the Dock's preferences plist located in your user's Library.

This is my console log that I saw that people usually ask for. I am not running any extra hacks I guess. I just run a system type thing that shows data usage.

Alright guys! Very weird stuff is happening here. I did a shut down of my computer, came back 10 minutes later after taking my shower. Rebooted and now the dock works fine.

sometimes things get messed up. If it doesn't reappear, don't sweat it.
