2) Members thinking the site is dead
3) Not knowing who did it
4) Not knowing why they did it

That sucks, dude. One of my Mac OS X Panther server was hacked in 2005... I locked the server down pretty well, but the hackers got in via a stupid SSH bot checking for simple username/password combos (scott/scott). I was dumb.

Luckily they weren't too malicious and I had logs for everything.
