i just set up a netgear fwg114p wireless router, and it went surprisingly well, and i'm able to hook to the web when i have an ethernet into my Ti book (with b airport card).


i've set up my wireless network via the router, enabled a wireless access point, and even set the WEP to open system, disabling encryption.

and when i disconnect the cat5 cable, restart, and turn on my aiport, the network shows up in the airport list.

however, when i try to select it, i get a 'error joining selected airport network'.

wondering what i'm doing wrong here to get my Ti book with the old airport (802.11b) to connect to the network?

okay, hasty post, perhaps:

i got it to work by adding the wireless card to the access list.

i disabled access list to allow anyone to find it. for now
