Well, i've been importing a lot of CDs into my Intel iMac in the last couple of days and some of them have like a paper promo thing shaped just like the CD itself. So, late at night, not really paying attention, i didn't notice that one of these paper discs stuck on the CD until it left my hand, when i put it in and panic set in..
Now i got this paper thing and the CD stuck in my iMac.
Any suggestions what to do? Is taking the iMac apart to get to the drive even an option?

turn the imac on its side and see if gravity + the eject button will spit it out.

Which iMac is it? Some are easier than others. An early G5 would be nice in this situation. A slot-loading G3 would not.

It's a 20" Intel iMac, which came out early this year.

I'd try using some tweezers and a flashlight, very, very carefully.

This worked after all, but only for the CD. This paper thing is still stuck.
Any tips?

I guess that's next. From the sounds the drive made i probably killed it anyway.

My little brother once put bologna in my G3 slot-loading iMac. I had to take it in.
I wouldn't recommend opening it up, personally.

I got it out, using a bent paper clip at just the right spot, while hitting the eject button. Seems to work ok too, but i'm not sure if it sounds different while reading a CD or if i'm just imagining this.
Anyway, big sigh of relief and damn these little CD shaped Mansun promo things.
