Seems to me there are a whole bunch of stickies which have outlived their stickiness.

Yeah, I had something similar happen to envelopes. It just doesn't pay to buy 20 years worth of envelopes in bulk.

And when the stamps say, stick on without licking, sometimes, I lick them just to see if there's a difference in taste between the stick on kind, and the kind that you must lick.

Considering the breadth and scope of our stickies, this sort of "staleness" is unavoidable. However, pointing out which ones are particularly stale, and/or suggesting updates for them would be extremely helpful.

The most obvious ones are "The One and Only Zune Thread" in iPod etc., and the Bluetooth Cingular EDGE tethering thread in Consumer Hardware. Intel peripheral compatiblity can prolly be put out to pasture too.

Some others should probably go too. The inkjet paper compatibility is a nice concept, but seems worthless without updates. The Forum Bug thread is also pretty useless, it only gets checked if you make multiple posts to it.

A bump isn't very useful here. How about pointing out specific stickies and what to do about them, in detail to help out? I don't know about you, but I have been incredibly busy and stressed of late, so I haven't had time or energy to dig into all the stickies, let alone research them.

Sorry if that sounds harsh, but it really has been that bad for me lately.

'About the free Mac mini sites' on iMac, eMac & Mac mini - 2005
That must be the mustiest of the musty things

Maybe transfer it to iPad sites, as that seems to be the latest thing.

Or kill it to death.

It'll be much easier if you just comply.

Zune and EDGE stickies unstickied. I left the inkjet paper one for now (I don’t suppose inkjet paper information gets outdated as easily as cell phone information), and the forum bug thread should stay there as well (even though it might take a few posts to get any real feedback).

Unstickied, too. I haven’t seen any referral requests here in aeons.
