Finally placed an order for the 17" Albook on Wednesday and just looked at the shipment tracking page - "out for delivery"!!!

So now I have to just sit here at work imagining myself getting home later today and playing with my new "toy" and getting familiar with OSX (I'm a PC user typically)...Can't wait!!!

Heh, Apple sure is strange about how they process orders...was this a ADC or Education discounted purchase, or just a normal full-price purchase?

every part of my order placed yesterday has shipped, except the 17" al book

20" screen

extra power adapter (originaly said 3-4 weeks)
iCurve
DVI to ADC adaptor (originally said 3-4 weeks)
Virtual PC 6
5 pack of DVD R's
JBL creatures (silver)

if his 17" shipped that quickly, maybe I will have this thing next week!!!!!!!!!!!!

(one can only hope)

I placed my order with Powermax - they were the only place I could find that had them in stock. It was full price (plus a little extra for upgrade to 1 gig of RAM.

Of course, I just looked at the tracking page and it just says that it arrived in town, and the "out for delivery" status is no longer showing. Weird. This last bit of waiting feels harder than the past 3 months!!

Yep! Order them directly from www.apple.com, that's where I got mine, fast & free shipping too!

I looked on the Apple site for the Brenthaven bag by I don't see the 17" one available unless you are buying the computer too...am I looking in the wrong place?

Hehe, yeah...just go to www.apple.com, then click the "Store" tab, and look down the lefthand column under "Accessories" and you'll see "Portable Gear". Click on that, scroll down, and you'll see them.
