the apple website has the energy start logo by the monitors and stuff, but not on the powerbook site, so I dunno. somehow I remember seeing something about that somewhere, but that's completely useless to you right now. My guess is yeah, just because..

just checked the EPA's website and it looks like they are:
http://yosemite1.epa.gov/estar/consu.../computers.htm

click on the link for the PDF listing of computers, it lists iBooks and PowerBook G4's... as for the older models, I don't know about them

I believe that for desktop computers, it means that the whole machine may not use more than 30 watts of power when asleep. Apple's notebooks use 45W maximum, during use. When they are asleep, they use so little power that a regular incandescent night light is probably green with envy!
