I have a Word document that came from a pc user. At the end of every line and between every line there is a line break, obviously this makes it really hard to edit since every line is considered its own paragraph.

Does anyone know if there is a way I can remove all these superfluous line breaks?

For others who might need to know, Devon's Wordservices clean text up nicely:

Unfortunately, as it's a Service, it doesn't work in rubbish Word, my workaround is to copy into Textedit to make the formatting changes.

Would you believe I even had this service installed for years and hardly used, but now it was just ready for me to remember it.

You could always do a search and replace in Word -- search for a line break and replace with {blank} -- that is, replace with nothing. I do that sort of thing all the time. Could even write a macro for it if it is something you need to do often.
