Does anyone know about this app: http://macupdate.com/info.php/id/21515 ?
I ran it and it calls itself a 'haxie'. It makes the Finder look nice, similar to iTunes, which is what I wanted (since I mostly like Aqua and didn't want to pay for shapeshifter just to change the Finder), but it also mods unified windows to have square corners, which unforntunately doesn't quite work.

Can you post a picture of what the windows look like?

This is a Finder window:
And this is a unified window: (see how the corner doesn't look quite right with the light patch)
From the Macupdate page, many people seem to have had problems with it, but it's fine on mine. Make sure you install the pkg first. To uninstall, run the installer again.
There's no info about who the author is.

Max's Smooth Stripes does just what you have described (with fixed corners etc)

I free'd my mind... now it won't come back.

Running the installer (either of them) again doesn't show any option for uninstallation. Am I missing something?

Yeah it doesn't give you an option, but if you run the installer again and then log out you'll find it reverts back to Aqua/Metal.
Thanks for that tip RevEvs, I didn't know Max did pkg installers! However, his smoothstripes also has the problem on unified windows, where it tries to square their corners but it doesn't quite work. In fact this PlasticTiger is very similar to the gradients used in smoothstripes, suspiciously so.

Hey Franz, the main icon set I am using is Aqua Neue: http://interfacelift.com/icons-mac/details.php?id=1827
The folders I use are called 'iMac style icons', but I can't for the life of me find where I got them.
The star is from one of David Lanhams sets. And the home folder is a great old one from here: http://mac.axonz.com/index.php?topic=iconz

Look for the just-released Neige icons--the folders would be in there
