For the first year in ITT I used a Microsoft program called One Note to take notes in class. I was wondering if there was a Mac program that is like One Note. Thanks in advanced!

One Note is like having an electronic notebook. I could drag and drop notes to make up diagrams and graphs. It also works with tablets. Here is a screenshot which gives you an idea of what it does. OneNote

Oh, that looks good.
I would like to have something like that, too.

Right now i use MacJournal - you can have a look at it under Mariner Software - Macintosh OS X Spreadsheet, Word Processor & Macintosh Office - but i don´t think it´s the same kind of tool, just the same direction.

There are a large number of outlining/note taking apps for the Mac (OmniOutliner and DevonThink are two off the top of my head), and hand writing recognition is built into the OS.

Thanks for the links Mankar! Journler looks like it's worth a try.

Do any of these tools support taking screen shots with character recognition?

I like that I can take a screen shot from something and search for it in OneNote and it will find text on the actual images.

Just how did you get handwriting into OneNote, and how do you plan to get it into your Mac?
