Here's to #1000 and turning green.

I'm stepping out into the wild ride that is real life. I have no time anymore for posting on MacNN. New job, wife, dog, and other obligations are taking up most of my time. Nothing to really contribute anyway (see my last two days posts for example).

Good luck and God bless everyone - it's been a fun 3 years...

Cheers,

Jim

Doesn't have the same impact as gorickey's retirement.

25 posts = a milestone.

Does vBulletin offer members to view the post count in a table like phpBB?

While I appreciate the loss I find it hard to believe he doesn't have time to keep up a massive 0.9 posts a day.

I wish this stars and post count brimborium were gone.

Or at least, flip the system - have noobs start out with 25 stars and take away one with every 1000 posts. How about a seniority system? For each year that you've been registered you get one little wooden-cane-icon (16 x 16 pixels each). Once you've been registered for more than five years you get a giant (64 x 64 pixels) walker icon.

Now that would be progressive - maybe with the next update of vBulletin?
