yeah...I didn't get too spend much time with it, so I don't have many details yet besides it seems fast as hell. when I finish up some of these repairs Im gonna go back up and check it out some more. it feels like a different machine though....awesome.

I am curious how it does with the HD demos so many were dissappointed with when they first came out. The "Serenity" demo comes to mind. Hope you have a minute to download one and check it out.

Why does that cam (and I noticed the isight too) take pictures (and video?) reversed?

When the camera works backwards, it behaves as though it were just a mirror. If it didn't, you'd get disoriented from the years and years of only seeing yourself in mirrors.

Any ramblings are entirely my own, and do not represent those of my employers, coworkers, friends, or species

^I guess so. It still seems like it would be annoying if you are taking pictures of anything with text. i guess the image is easily reversible though...

The other person sees the image the correct way around if you're doing an iChat, which is the primary purpose of the built in iSight - so you could hold up a page of text and they would still be able to read it OK.

Okay ... so now it's a day later. Anything to report? Have you been able to tell if it gets hot?
