Just out of curiosity, what Logitech hardware are you running?. Not saying the software is the culprit but your version of Logitech Control Center was released on June, 2008. I would update it at least to version 3.0.0 which works quite well under 10.5.8

You can get it from the Logitech FTP server, point any FTP client to:

He's asking for help with Safari, not suggestions for a replacement.

First of all, if you use SIMBL or any other Input Managers or haxies, you should disable or delete them first. If you don't know what these are, you probably aren't using them.

You could download the latest WebKit nightly and see how that goes. Also, one of the things you can do is reset Safari. Do this via the Safari menu. If that doesn't work, you can remove the ~/Library/Safari folder and the Safari plist files in ~/Library/Preferences/ to get back to a clean state. If you want, you could trash these files and restore them after your testing or put them in some other temporary location during testing and move them back afterwards because deleting them will remove all bookmarks and personal settings.
