Hi,

Ok... I recently bought the Gladiator VCD while I was in asia a few weeks ago. I have played it on a PC and it works fine, but when I try it on my imac and using quicktime it gives me a -19 error and won't open the movie. This is weird as I can't see any reason why it won't work. I have Os9.1 and the latest quicktime. I also got a bladerunner VCD which works fine on a PC and my imac with no problems. Anyone have any ideas? are there any other programs that play VCDs besides quicktime that might work?

Thanks

It may just be the drive. Have you tried cleaning it? It may also be the disk. Is it scratched? Does it still play in the peecee? Can you try playing it in another Mac?

When you mount it on the Mac try clicking on the icon and navigating the files.

Do you have the shareware program Joliet installed? This is an extension that lets the Mac see longer file names on peecee formatted disks. Either update date it or delete it. Earlier versions made it impossible to read VCDs.

I'm not aware of any specific reason why QT cannot read a given VCD except for some trouble in the read process as i suggested above.
Happy owner of a new 15" Al PB.
