Well I got the game on the 4th (I know, awesome, eh?) but unfortunately haven't been able to play until today. (Stupid life...) I'll let you know what I think when I get a good run through.

Enhanced graphics. Seriously. I can't even turn them halfway up without it crippling my system. And it already looks better than the consoles.

32 player multiplay support.

Built-in replay and video editor with uploading to Social Club. Pretty robust.

Independence FM. Use your own songs for a radio station.

Have there been any rumors about a Mac version?

Besides that, I've tried Vice City PC and San Andreas PC in VMware, neither will play. They do play in boot camp, which brings up my second question:

Is an Nvidia GeForce 7300 GT (in a mac pro 4x2.66) enough to play GTA4 with good graphics settings?

Also, how about the new macbook with the 9400m? I don't have a macbook but I'm hoping some day, a mac mini will come out with a 9400m and maybe 2x2.4 core2duo. If I could play GTA4 on said mini... damn i might never buy a PS3...

This is the only item I wish was on the console, but not at the cost of having waited an additional 6 months.

I won't suggest anything. I have horrendously bad Internet with a 450MB cap. From 2-5AM is a free zone, but I can usually only fit in about 1800MB a night. Sooo downloading a 16GB game would take many, many, many nights. I just buy my games from Wal-Mart, occasionally GameStop. And I ordered Crysis from Amazon when I bought Vista. And I don't know how I'm going to get that Valve pack... I'm seriously considering packing my computer up and taking it to a library or something.

No Mac version rumors. It's not going to happen.

The packagings listed minimum requirements is a 256MB 7900 or greater, so unfortunately your 7300 GT probably won't work.

I have no idea on the 9400M.

Depends on how much time and care went in to the Mac port, doesn't it? A Mac game just doesn't ALWAYS run slower than the PC counterpart. And I didn't know World Tour was out for Mac's. Heh. Good for them.

I don't see why it wasn't on the consoles. They could easily do it. Video editing controls might have been a little rough, but they could have pulled it off.

So by holding the X button (on the 360) you can turn on high-beams in cars? Also, you can turn your lights on in the day by using the same technique.

I don't have words to reply to this, so instead I'll add a GTA IV anecdote.

I don't know if you've all noticed but I'm back into playing it quite a bit lately. I actually played a lot of online races a few days back (I know, crazy) and I have to say I hadn't had as much fun before than during a Firetruck race on the track "Stars in your Eyes" which is the big figure 8 downtown.

8 laps, lots of carnage, and lots of sirens. Hilarity.

Yeah, and the host is almost always a douchébag.

Also, what the hell is up with whacky physicsâ„¢ sometimes in this game? I"ll be in a race (usually doing well) and out of nowhere my car flips up in the air and does seventeen barrel rolls...WTF?

I know some of the beat-up road textures would cause my bike to suddenly kick up, many times fatally considering my speed.

It's almost as if at high speeds the physics properties haven't loaded yet on the manhole covers and steel plates on the road. Coupled with the lag from online play it can create some interesting outcomes.

Between work, television, and the forums, I get in some solo GTA IV where I can. Right now I've just completed Undress to Kill (the club hit mission) where I managed to whack the three club managers without any of them fleeing the club.

Now that I'm done with BioShock, I might have to resume my pigeon hunting and see where it leads me.

Edit: Also, Rockstar confirmed that a GTA V dropping this year was a rumor, nothing more.

I loved Road Rash too. We'll see how the mechanics hold up.

(And I mean Road Rash, not Road Rash 3D)

I'll be honest, if I had enjoyed it more, I'd be on this. But I really grinded out finishing the story, and multi left something to be desired.

so i decided before i buy Lost and Damned i was going to try and finish up some more achievements, the only single player one i have left is the "liberty city minute" so i started my new single player game today. Hopefully it won't be to difficult.

From what I've heard the L&D game difficulty level starts off where the Niko game ends. Its something for people who have finished the game to get stuck into.

It'll be much easier if you just comply.

So i completed the campaign for the "Liberty City Minute" Achievement, took me 15hrs 04 mins.
I finished it in half the time needed, all i did was skip cut-scenes and used a taxi for every mission i could.

Lost and Damned...next.

Found a new hooker. She was outside the Bohan safehouse, in the middle of the day. She wasn't one of the usual Anglo ones you see all the time. She's wears a "Petty Blue" (or something close)top and hip high boots. Her "dirty talk" is different, (not the usual "grab my titties") and a different actress does her voice. I thought she might be the elusive Lola Del Rio.

The Lost and Damned... is awesome.

The bike races (with road rash abilities) are great, so far i've done one of the the missions with niko, good times. Johnny's riding ability is 10x that of Niko's and makes riding a motorcycle one of the best vehicles in the game. You really experience places that you never go to with niko which makes it feel like a new side to the city but familar locations make it easy to get around.

EDIT: i've already got the "Get Good Wood" achivement

Finished 'The Lost and Damned', it has my highest recommendation for anyone who wants more GTA,
Took me about 9 hours to complete the story and i still have plenty of side missions/races/gang wars to go.
