My combo drive is working well. I can watch DVD. Read and write data on a CD except burning ACC or MP3 to Audio CD. I called apple specialist and they said its a software problem. I reformat my harddrive and its still the same. Can this be a hardware problem. I got apple care on this product.

What software are you using? iTunes? Toast Titanium? The finder? Try using these first, and then maybe try downloading a demo for other burning software and see if the problem persists.
If everything fails, then it may be a hardware problem afterall. CD burners are cheap and superdrives are getting cheaper by the day too.
Good luck!

Just for info. I just installed a pioneer dvr 107 on this computer. The computer recognized it as a superdrive. I try to burned audio CD and it works. So the problem is solved I got a hardware problem. The only problem the pioneer dvr 107 tray is little bit bigger and I have to trime it with knife so that would come out from the mirrored door. I will post a picture to explain this.

You didn't need to trim the door with a knife! It comes off easily! Just take it out, and flip the drive over and insert a paper clip in it the hole that ejects the drive. From there, there are a couple of tabs that hold the face plate of the trat to the tray itself.
Try it!
