The Killzone 2 track is not formally available for purchase.

But, some tracks are listenable at this website:

http://ilikemonkeysblog.com/2009/03/...-2-soundtrack/

Is there any way to grab them, much like one can sometimes record streaming video on a page?
Now I know, and knowing is half the battle!

Pipe it from Safari directly into GarageBand or Audacity to record.

In Safari do Window->Activity.

Then start playing and you can easily see the .mp3 file. Option-double-click it to download.

That doesn't work for flash though.

Not entirely true.

You only need the Application Enhancer thing for the "Instant Hijack" feature, where it allows you to hijack an already running application. You can still use it without APE, only you'll have to quit the application whose audio you want to control and restart it from within Audio Hijack in order for it to see the audio.

I stopped using APE entirely when Leopard came out, because modifying an application in memory breaks its signature, and the application loses some of its "preferred status" (i.e. Safari asks for password every time it needs access to the keychain, or Mail asks for your e-mail password every time it checks for mail). Snow Leopard will make things like APE even harder to do, I believe.

Audio Hijack works fine without APE.

Person Man is right. I don't have Unsanity's Application Enhancer and was able, a while back, to record streaming audio from a local radio station.

Are there instructions on how to do this within Garageband?

Thanks for all the other tips guys, I'll check them out.

Depends. It will work with most Flash videos, excluding some streaming players, and most Flash audio players will just play some strongly squashed mp3 file, which *will* show up in the Activity window.

Excellent info, thanks!

It still installs the APE by default, though, right?

Actually, last time I installed Audio Hijack, it asked me separately if I wanted Instant Hijack to be installed.
