Another example of why we don't belong there.

I thought Iraq was about democracy. Afghanistan was simply about rooting out the Taliban.

So, there are sectarian conflicts in Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iraq, etc. Is that news to anyone? Are you saying we should let the Taliban return and allow Al Qaeda a haven in Afghanistan again?

Umm, the problem is that the Taliban never left Afghanistan. Our previous administration got "distracted" by Iraq and never resolved the Afghanistan issue--killing all the Taliban, then rebuilding the country after doing the former--when it first had the chance, and the global goodwill, to do so.
One should never stop striving for clarity of thought and precision of expression.
I would prefer my humanity sullied with the tarnish of science rather than the gloss of religion.

Um, there are somewhere around 100 Al Qaeda in all of Afghanistan, according to our own military commanders. The Soviets got their asses handed to them after years of warfare there, and we won't do any better. You no doubt believe the bullshit about creating a stable country there, also no doubt not understanding how you're being lied to, by people who conveniently have their fingers in keeping us on a permanent war economy.

I agree with OMM. Afghanistan is pointless. No chance.

But how's that troop withdrawal which Barry promised going? That "change" working out for everyone?
