No they won't. I've had a ZIO Smartmedia one that stop working with every OS X update. They make a MMD one, but they don't list an OSX driver for it.

I have a zio MMC/SD card reader and I've never had a problem with it under X. No drivers needed, it just works.

my friend has the Zio and it is currently not working after updating her version of Jaguar.

I have STELLAR performance from my iMation FlashGO! reader. it is small, plugs in to USB, and has three interchangeable readers that plug into the device itself. It can read SmartMedia, SecureDigital, and Memory Stick. It's worked natively under all versions of Jaguar since I had 10.2. Check it out.. I love it.

I have a PNY combo reader (CF, MMC, and SD) and a SanDisk CF reader...

both work fine under X (currently 10.2.6 or where-ever we are right now)

Never had any problems with them.
