Well to answer my own question:


It's still laggy on my CD 2Ghz iMac w/x1600.

Hopefully they'll work out the bugs/speed problems.

I e-mailed Aspyr feedback on the very same problem, and they were kind enough to respond to the effect that they are discussing this issue with ATi and hope to be able to resolve it for the release.

I'm pleasant to announce that it's still super laggy on my new 8 cores Mac Pro!

Even with low graphic setting.

It's pretty unlikely that it is using the 8 cores efficiently.... Still, that's pretty disappointing....

I have'nt heard anything about SC5, but I hope its not as crappy as the SC4 for the Mac. SC4 was just a big dissappointment on the Mac, so have to rely on XP for my SC needs

I figured this is worth reviving this old thread.

The new (1.1) patch works perfectly on my MacBook (at 1st glance). I plan to test it more.

Very well. They still need to work on it tho (the sound in U-Drive It missions is all clippy)
