Has anyone had any success with any of the scratch removal products? Like an idiot, I was intoxicated and placed my phone face down on the table, and it slid around a little bit, and sure enough there are some "hair line" scratches on it now. They are very faint and shallow, but they are visibile. Other than replacing the glass (overkill in this case), are there any real "scratch removal" products that work? Most of them seem to actually be abrasive based products that more or less sand down the surface.

I haven't heard of any scratch removal products that work well on an iphone, but if you put a screen protector on the phone at this point, it will most likely cover up the hair line scratches. I did this on an ipod & once I put on the screen protector, I never could see the scratches.

Maybe I'll give that a try. I have a nice screen film/protector on it for about 7 months or so but it got to the point that it was so scratched and dirty and battered that I couldn't stand having it on there anymore. I went for over a month without any problems and BOOM, I put it face down on the table one time and I have about 6 nice, thin, long scratches on the screen now. Maybe I'll put another film on it and grind it out until the new iPhone comes out next fall and I can sell this one.

From your description I can tell that you've been using 'budget' screen protectors like the ones I used to use. When ZAGG put their highly-regarded invisibleSHIELD product on sale recently I decided to try them. Night and day difference. If you'd been using this outstanding product, you wouldn't be talking about the screen protector being scratched and battered after 7 months. Nor would you have a need to discuss this problem right now.

I have no problems with the ZAGG products. I've used them on several of my ipods/phones, etc over the years. They are good, but not great. All that being said, the above post is pretty suspicious. When someone comes onto a forum and their first (or at least only post that shows up in their user profile history) post talks about how great a specific product is, then I automatically get suspicious. When that posts includes marketing-speak like "If you'd been using this outstanding product..." my BS sensor goes on full alert.
