Apparently, my bank is supported in Quicken for Windows, but not Quicken for Mac. I can't understand why there should be any difference.

There is a certain document format that Quicken for Mac doesn't support. I forget what it's called, but some big places like Vanguard use it, but no Mac program can read it.

Strange that the Mac version wouldn't read the format. After all, they release new versions every year. What? They can't find the time to build in the new format? Apparently not.

Anyway, I just left feedback to Intuit about this.

Quicken 2004 has been a disappointment for me, especially since there are *no* major new features to differentiate it from Q 2003... only that it crashes a whole lot more, making the experience, er, more thrilling.

There was a discussion "thread" over at MacinTouch regarding Quicken for Mac's bank support and apparently one bank replied to a customer compliant stating that the reason Windows Quicken is supported and not Macintosh Quicken is because Intuit charges the bank a separate fee to process Mac and Windows and they only bought a Windows license. (something along these lines anyways)

I guess not a lot of banks opt to pay Intuit's Mac fee because there are some banks that do support both without trouble.

If you are a Vanguard Account holder, let them know that they need to support the Mac. Right now, they say the demand is not there, so we need to demand it.

Log on to your accounts and click the "Questions? Contact us" link in the upper right corner of the screen.

WOW I'm surprised. Even Commerce Bank has Mac Supported downloads through Quicken. One would think Larger banks would too.
