i was just looking around and noticed the thing where if you buy an ibook you get 200 off an ipod and I was just wondering if this was an instant rebate or you had to mail something in?

you have to mail in a rebate, and you don't get your money for 6-8 weeks.

I don't get what Apple's obsession is after chasing the education market. I think it is time they go into the business market, which was the right thing to do in the 80's. They didn't, and IBM took that over and now they don't have half the sales as IBM.

I think the point of getting the education market is to "brainwash them while they're still young."
In nicer terms: If the Mac in your classroom is how you learn to use a computer, you're more likely to buy a Mac for yourself in a few years when you are in the market.

So true. I was taught to use computers on a Mac, and I hated them. The old OS was so ugly compared to Windows back then.

I still got drawn into Macs though, and now I own one

Mac should try to get into the business market more. It is the reason why HP owns so much share of the market.
