See, they get power generated directly from the hamster. This bypasses the whole wheel system that MacNN uses for their servers.

That'd be pretty cool:
Over the next five to ten years, Wang hopes to significantly boost the power output of the generator so that it could be woven into the fabric of a human-sized jacket and harvest enough energy to charge batteries for portable electronic devices.

Oh man, wang-powered portable electronic devices would totally rock.
One should never stop striving for clarity of thought and precision of expression.
I would prefer my humanity sullied with the tarnish of science rather than the gloss of religion.

Of course, I read the title as MacNN can upgrade their servers thanks to the (journal) Science, which left me scratching my head.

Don't try to outweird me, I get stranger things than you free with my breakfast cereal.
