Anyone watch it? I d/l'd it using a torrent file.... kinda lame seeing ferraris and porsche's so much... a lot of total idiots though, like that arian dipshit who was driving the M version of the Z3... "uh, yeah, he said it was our fault since we tried to pass on the right"

You tried to pass on the ****ing shoulder moron. You deserve what you got for driving like an idiot. It's one thing to drive fast, it's something else to drive stupid.

Anyway, it was interesting to watch.

I have a cd with a bunch of those files on it... I'll see if I can dig it up and post them somewhere...

I remember reading an article on it too - this dude got pulled over by the cops and had his Koenigsegg (?) impounded. So he just went and bought another one and kept going. I believe this was right outside of Las Vegas... so it would have been the one in the US - not sure if that was 2003 or not, where they started in San Fran?

The Gumball rally always proves to be interesting as hell.

It does indeed get boring to see a similar set of super cars at each race, but it's the few real gems (eg, prototypes, rare cars, etc) that make it all worth while. That and the antics they all get into along the way.

Heh, I remember this quick clip from one of the races "Hey man, what is that, a Ferrari?" "No, it's a Probe. Ford Probe." "OH **** YOU!"

It was cool to watch, but I still feel that most of the morons who were driving the upscale cars deserve to be shot on the basis of pure stupitidy. It's one thing to drive fast, or drive really fast, but it's something else to pull stupid ass stunts like passing on the shoulder, snapping lanes, NOT USING YOUR TURN SIGNALS, and weaving in and out of traffic.

You've got a point, but I don't think that in any Gumball race have there ever been any serious accidents involving the general public and/or any fatalities. The only wrecks I see or hear about are mechanical failures, and almost always due to the fact that the drivers are pushing their cars way too hard for way too long.

The drivers may be asshats, but I like to think they know what they are doing...most of the time.

Nope. Some Z3 M car got ****ed up because it tried to pass a truck on the shoulder, and the truck swerved and sent the car into the ditch.

Technically speaking, the truck kept driving nary a scratch, right?

there's quite a few different groups that have taped their accounts of the Gumball 3000.. I've seen some, they're quite nice. Lovely automobiles.

it's fun to watch.

someone says they're moron, someone's jealous... hohoho~

It's a race on the public road, but some roads were no longer public when the country/city knew they were coming... the roads were opened for them, they have money, power/authority to do that, why would u use turn signal when u're racing? indeed, I've seen all the gumball videos and some of the drivers use turn signal at times. It's a show for the rich. some people won't understand. stop hating lol~

Well it's quite obvious you have no clue what you're talking about.

None of the roads were closed, all were public, they were speeding yes, but in large packs, weaving in and out of traffic. Turn signals let the drivers they are passing and cutting off (at speeds much MUCH higher than normal traffic) what they are about to do and avoid accidents. I'm not saying this because I'm jealous, I'm saying this because some of the drivers/people involved you can TELL are just total ****wads. Others, while still speeding and whatnot, were courteous, stayed in the right lane, and didn't snap lanes/weave in and out of traffic.
