Hi,

I'm running 10.2.2 on an unsupported mac, an old 7500.

The optimisation of any SW I install always fails, the box will lock up and I have to force a reboot.

I have tried to use 'Maintain' to update the prebinding myself. It gives the following error pretty shortly before starting the process in the terminal:

</Applications/Utilities/maintain1.app//Contents/Resources/dopre1: line 35: 459 Segmentation fault sudo update_prebinding -root / >

It then returns to a prompt.

Can someone enlighten me as to what a 'segmentation fault' is and how to get past it?

This is a scsi drive BTW...

Thanks

Simon
