I generally like weird cars... and I like to modify things, so here's what'll be in my dream garage:

1. 1992 Black Mica Subaru SVX LSL, 6spd STi Transmission, tuned (suspension, exhaust, brakes, etc)
2. VW Corrado SLC with the 1.8T engine from later VWs... it offers more power, performance and better MPG than the VR6. Tuned. Preferably dark forest green metallic with tan interior.
3. Dodge Omni GLHS, stock, any color
4. Nitro Yellow Green 1st generation Dodge Neon ACR with SRT4 engine thrown into it.... try to make it as stock looking as possible
5. Ford Contour SVT 1998.5+. Forest green, tan leather. :
6. 1980s Chevy Sprint Turbo, white, orange red graphics, fairly stock, slightly tuned
7. 1998 BMW M5. Black of course. Pretty much the best looking BMW ever. Before bangle.
8. Older porsche 911. Stupid 911 engine tossed out, with it's expensive parts and horrible reliability. EG33 Subaru SVX engine thrown in. Both flat six configs, but the subie has more power, is more reliable, and cheaper to maintain. Plus it'd still sound like a porsche.

There are probably a few other ones I'm missing.... but those are the important ones. And eventually, I'd like a ferrari. For a few years anyway. Preferably a 355. I would like to own a v12 ferrari for a little bit. It'd be a lot of fun.

Maybe he's talking about the hilarity of the accident that will undoubtedly ensue after a blone woman with no helmet tries to drive a vespa with a dog on her lap.

It was a joke. I just thought a blatently sexist comment would be kinda funny.... heh. It was actually a reference to a honda ad in the 1970s about the same thing... I'll see if I can find a link to it.

If I could find a low milage one (>70K or so) for not too much $$$ right now, I'd pounce on it. Stock it's got 200hp and a 5spd, just add a Magnaflow exhaust, lower an inch or so, and some lightweight 17" rims, and it'd be perfect. I think I'd go for the Toreador Red though.

220hp. Also, they're already pretty low. I wouldn't **** with the suspension at all.... the SVT guys did a great job with it (at least the 98.5+ ones). Also, the 98.5+ ones have great looking lightweight alloys:

They're pretty much mustang cobra wheels, but a bit smaller.

The desired qualities I need at the moment:
1) Runs.
2) I can lock it.
3) Functioning Blinkers
4) Some sort of radio/cd player.

(yeah, my current car is a piece of junk and fits only 1 of those criteria....)

Nope. 195hp on the earlier models, 200 on the later ones. If you get the right suspension components, it does improve performance quite a bit. The 16" rims just don't quite fill up the wheel wells. Here's one with SVT Focus 17" rims:

(I've owned a Contour and own a Mystique, and my sister has another Contour)

Huh.... that's just ****ing odd. A few minutes ago I would have been willing to bet my life that it had 220hp. Strange. Oh well, 200hp is still plenty in a car that size. As for the wheels... they're okay, but that is definitely too low for being a daily driver (around here anyway... maybe it'd be okay in cali)

Yeah, some people lower it and add the "Mirko" front splitter...that's just ugly IMO, and begging to be smashed on a curb.

Here's an article from when the SVT Contour was first released, it has the 195hp number. It was bumped an extra 5 in later models. Perhaps the 220 you were thinking of was the Taurus SHO? IIRC that had roughly 220 from a Yamaha 3.0/3.2 (depending on the year). I think the 3.4 V8 had 235 but it was only available in an auto, plus the car was heavy, and the engine suffered massive cam failure if driven hard, so it didn't go over well.
