My Powermac's main hd has iNissan and the slave is iDatsun. The iMac is just iMac 333. The rest are just named what ever the computer is so i dont foget whats what in the network.

 Although, if I had a partitioned drive with one volume named Ishmael, I would name the other Isaac.
I've had informal names for my Macs, but I haven't taken the matter as seriously as most of you have.

I think they mean the name of the computer as it shows up in System Preferences -> Sharing. In which case mine is just a boring name of "iMac G5" which I suppose it better from a boring hard drive name of "Main" (3 partition setup and that is the main partition).

No, it never was - it's called "untitled"!
The other 3 are called "untitled1", "untitled2" and "untitled3"...
My amplifier is called "amplifier" but the company wrote some weird other name on it.
My TV is called "TV" but sometimes I also call it Sony.
I call my telephone "my telephone" because it's mine.
The iPod was born with the name "iPod" and I still call it so.
My old car was called "Passat" but after a while I started calling it "car" because it was shorter - two years ago, I broke up with it. It's my ex-car now!
