Hi,
my external hard drive recently died and I need to stick down a temperature sensing probe onto the replacement drive. However, the bit of yellow, translucent tape that was on the original drive has lost its stickiness so the probe is no longer staying on the new drive, which means it won't cool properly so I can't use it. Hence, I'm trying to get something to replace the tape but can't figure out what I should be looking for as I have no idea what it is called (and a search for "yellow translucent tape for computing" didn't help either). Therefore, does anyone know what I should be looking for and where I can get it?
TIA
N.B. I'm based in the UK, and the Maplins near work didn't have any.

Just stick it on there with a rare earth magnet. Should definitely do the trick and hold the probe in place.

Not to mention you won't have any of that messy 'data' to deal with anymore!

I use BluTack to stick a temperature sensor down horizontally, over the top, not underneath.
Hasn't come off upto 44ºC

Gonna be mature and point out that that would destroy all your data. It's the internet, some poor person might actually try it (not the OP).
