There is an anonymous, non-commercial survey *here* to see what Mac hardware/OS versions are currently in use around the world.

This information is useful to software developers, when determining backwards compatibility. Please take a minute to participate!

I just participated, thank you.

I don't know why the survey only allows one answer for each of the first two questions. Many people own and use more than one type of Mac.

Yeah, you're right, xi - it should allow for the selection of more than one model. But thank you for notifying us of the survey, arekkusu.

Ah, you see, reading the instructions might shed a little light there. If you own multiple Macs, they would like you to take the survey on each one.

Ah, touch. However, I bet I'm not the only one to miss that. Who reads instructions for filling out a survey?

Goes along with a general trend in our society:
Everyone has an opinion, but most often no clue !

I shouldn't think many people do. I mean, how many surveys come with instructions? Lazy statisticians!

Hey. I'm in the 0.9% that has a >23" display. That makes me feel sassy.

I suspect another reason for this is to help prevent people from adding the se fdhd sitting in their garage as a computer they use.
