On my Sony camera, we made some movies and when downloaded, these movies went to iPhoto as MOV01011.MPG. When I click on this movie, it plays on QuickTime Player. But, I cannot transfer this file to iMovie.
Help!

You should be able to choose Import Movie in iMovie and open the .MPG files in order to import them to your library. If you've already tried doing that, what exactly happens when you do?

When I try to import Movie in iMovie, it does not recognize the mpg file. In fact, I added the mpg to desktop and did not recognize it there either.

They're probably MJPEG or something else that iMovie doesn't support.

If that's the case, use Quicktime to convert the files into Quicktime files.
