What is the truth? How can one trust what this nation says if they are willing to go to these lengths? It's already bad enough that most Americans have to form their opinions based on the disgraceful limited news that treacles down to them, but add this to the mix and I really begin to wonder. Some might say Americans are dumb for ther views on the world, but you can't blame them due to them receiving only around 1% of the truth via their media.

How can you trust any nation? Almost every nation has had or will have its imperial reign, consider this as being the American one.
That one percent you mentioned is a little far off. I would estimate it to be more around 95%. It's not that the news are straightout lying to the public. That's not the problem at all. The problem is the coverage and selection. Who decides what is seen on television, who decides what is read in newspapers? Give that a thought and also take into account what the news bring and what they don't. This is the propaganda that they are applying. They are, however, (in most cases) ceveing the truth. Just not all of it.

It's about time we got wise to the way media was/is being used as a tool by the other side and began playing the same game.

I read part of a story or an Op-Ed piece with the head of CNN who admitted that his crews in Saddam's Iraq were FORCED to transmit false news reports. And CNN knew it was happening but they didn't think it was worth further endangering the lives of the CNN people in Iraq by listing a disclaimer on their stories, so they just broadcast the lies.

This type of Psy Ops has been used by many countries during History. What is wrong with it? It can be used in many different ways? It if fakes out the enemy and it works then why all the fuss about it? Maybe instead of faking out the enemy we should tell them the exact minute we go in.
