They say it will be shipped on Feb. 21st. Today I tinkered a tray and placed all the things on it, the only thing missing is the Mac mini. But here's a mock up

I will either put another board into the "construction", or more likely, i will just keep them on the side of my bed. My bed is 1.4m (55") wide, so there's enough space.

Get a bluetooth keyboard and mouse so you can store them anywhere, then just sit in bed and type away.

I disapprove.
I say go with a small wall mounted shelf for the mini, a shelf for the iPod dock, and a wall mounted arm for the display. Put the speakers on either shelf and run the wires behind the drywall. That would be pretty good.
p.s. -- Do you live in a box?

If I were you, I would make a small hanging-shelf in the middle just below the tabletop to fit the mac-mini. This will keep the benchtop uncluttered.

Hmmm... While we're on the subject of the mini and efficient use of space, I've been sitting here eyeing up my LaCie Desk Rack (3 drives, lowest space empty) and figuring that a mini would actually fit into that.
In fact, the more I sit here and stare at it, the more I'm thinking that Apple sat staring at exactly the same thing and said "we're gonna make a Mac to fit in that space" - looks like it would be real sweet fit.

The Mac mini is just too damn big for your desk it seems. I would go for something a little smaller...

IMHO, you need a board as a "backing" to the shelf to hide the wires. You also need to paint that thing white or some other interesting color. Unpainted unstained wood isn't cool...

I think that you have done a nice job for the limited space you have available. Dreaming now is more of a reality.

Does the Mac mini have to be mounted horizontally, or can it be mounted vertically on the wall behind the FP display? You could then pop CD's in like a toaster (à la Cube).

The power cables should be behind the table, not in front.
Congrats on your purchase!

Those are the display's cables! The mac mini is only ordered! This is just a mock up: everything on the picture is real except the mac mini
