This is killing me!

I've had Half-Life 2 on my PC for a week now. Preloaded directly from Valve through their Steam system.

And all I can do is wait for them to unlock it.

The whole damn finished, distributed product. This is worse than pre-stevenote tension.

Anybody else?

If you ever see Half-Life 2. It's been delayed for over a year after Valve sued Vivendi Universal. Universal sold the original Half-Life to Internet Cafes, something Valve didn't want to see happen because they claim that people wouldn't buy it if they could play it at a Cafe instead of at home.

Now Valve wants to distribute Half-Life 2 over the internet, but Universal doesn't approve and is pulling the online purchase of the game (through Steam.)

You'll have to wait until the lawsuit is over if you want to buy it through steam. Otherwise you'll probably have to actually go outside and buy it from the store.

Take rest in the fact that you are far from having the whole game preloaded. So far all they have allowed for preloading is textures, sounds, and some models. You still don't have the executable, the maps, etc.

Still a few more preloads to go.
<some witty quote that identifies my originality as a person except for the fact everyone else does the same thing>
