Hey everyone, wondering if anyone had some input on what could be causing this issue....

Basically, someone brought in their powerbook and said it wouldnt turn on anymore. I go to hit the power button and all i hear is a very loud clicking sound. I feel around and listen, and its definetly the hard drive. I take it out, hook it up to a external chasis, that definetly was it.

I go ahead and replace the hard drive with a brand new 30GB hard drive and boot the system and install 10.3. Everything seems to be working fine except for one issue... Whenever you put the system to sleep and wake it back up everything stops responding.... No trackpad, no keyboard, NOTHING!

What could cause this? Any suggestions?

Thanks for anything,
Justin

Hey Justin,

I didn't see you mention in your post about resetting the PMU, but I imagine you already tried that. It was just the first thing that I thought of.

I'll post back if I find any other answers!

BTW, Have you run MTP or ASD on the machine?
