YOU'RE the hypocrite - because you can't.
Was I replying to you? No. I will leave it to you to figure out what that makes you.

If you are offended by the word cum I can only suggest you seek help.

I'm curious about this for several reasons, but one is that there are rumors that Apple will allow something similar in iWeb2 where people will be able to collect money for linking to iTunes songs on their sites.

Is it wrong for an individual to make money on the web, but not large corporations?

1. Because said complainers who accused me of spamming are ****ing IDIOTS. Like I explained, I found the video through the fatwallet.com forums. I go to that site because there are deals. I noticed this thread, found the video funny, and posted it here.

I DID NOT MAKE ANY ****ING MONEY. The guy who accused me of spamming is a total ****ing idiot. I just thought it was a funny god damn video.

What I really don't understand is how this was spamming htough... IT WASNT, but I don't see why it would even matter. For instance, if someone linked to a 'youtube' video, you click the link, and watch the video. No quesitonaires, no free offers, etc etc etc.

THIS WAS THE SAME GOD DAMN THING, which is why, when I linked to the video, I did not even notice that someone is making money from it.

THAT SAID, I really don't care if someone is making money from it. IT WAS A FUNNY ****ING VIDEO.

And to whoever accused me of spamming, **** YOU. This is Ca$h, Rob, whatever, and I have never spammed these boards you ignorant piece of donkey ****. Before you make your stupid accusations, maybe try asking a question you ****tard.

My name is Ca$h/Rob, and I have never spammed MacNN to make money.

PS: If anyone is a member of fatwallet, see if you can find the link to the original forum thread. It was on the 17th of August.... but I'm not a member, I just happened to go there that day (I rarely do), and found the video funny, and posted it on the NN. Like I have done HUNDREDS of times*.

*: Without, I might add, some ignorant piece of crap calling me a god damn spammer. ****er. Better hope I never meet you.

This was the original thread, but apparently it was deleted because members were discussing 'sexual' things in the forums. Or something.

It was me. I just thought it was a funny video.

But NEXT TIME I find a funny video, maybe I WILL upload it onto a server that I can make money on before I post it on the NN, just to say a big '**** you' to the dueschebag who accused me of spamming. What a jackass...... (not you Gossamer, you're pretty cool).

2) is it a bannable offense to post any links to movies on that site?
NO. I put the ****ing link in my sig because the mods usually ban me a few hours after I make a name anyway. I just thought it was a funny god damn video. So funny, that it deserved not only my name, but also a place in my sig, FOR A DAY, since I would most definitely get banned anyway.....

I don't even know how you would make money on a ****ing video. If you did, it'd probably be like .000000001 cent per click. Big ****ing deal.

What really pisses me off is that I was not saying "HEY BUY THIS" or anythign, I just thought it was a funny god damn video, and I mentioned that I found it on fatwallet. OH NO! I MENTIONED ANOTHER SITE! That does not mean I'm a ****ing spammer you internet idiots! People mention other sites like amazon all the time! Hell, sometimes people post here when they see a deal on mac related ****. IS THAT SPAMMING?! NO!

2. Good question. I really don't see why it should be, considering it's just like watching a youtube video. I never even pay attention to all that bullshit around internet videos, because it's stupid advertising and faux-porn sites, most of the time. >shrug<

I don't ever get to keep a name, it's so 'temporary' here I almost just use the sig and name like 'today's message' or whatever I happen to be thinking about. At that point I was laughing hard about that video. I still think it's funny.

That was the name of the video in the link I found. I didn't change it, because it was quite appropriate. Shame on super soaker. It really is pretty gross.

Or using the word "cock" (not starred out either) when talking about "steaming hot young virgins penetrated by rock-hard cocks", and when talking about cocking a gun, or the administration's cock-up regarding Iraq?

Would you prefer to have them starred out?

IMO, starring out obscenities is borderline insulting to our intelligence, anyway, but your argument is just downright stupid.
Actually, cock used to be starred out. I remember from 9/11 when we were using the words 'cockpit' which ended up looking like ****pit.

You are really clueless, aren't you?

"Original thread title" or no, it was not appropriate for this forum. (mods correct me if I'm wrong) You post something like that, fine--but dont put that word in the title, and put a notice in the title. At the very least put of a "NSFW" (Was it? I didnt watch it because I'm not about to let someone make money of of this crap) or some other indication that its inappropriate.

Not to mention, you did link to a site where ppl make money off of others watching thier vids, AND your registered SN here was the name of the video, no less. What do you expect people to think?

And then you come in here crying like a baby, and cursing like no other. Does that make you feel good? Will you sleep better when you go to bed tonite? Maybe crying to mommy about it would help too?

I think its time for an IP ban.

...or maybe not... all this sh!t can be quite entertaining sometimes.

They do, but he gets a new ip address every once in a while, so it doesn't make a difference after a while. I suppose they could block the whole subnet, but then there'd be too many innocent victims.

Okay, I like Rob, Ca$h, for what it's worth.

But, I just disagreed with the thread title.

Do I have a problem with sexual innuendo? No. I could care less. But I don't want my teenaged son reading it (12 turning 13) because he visits this site once in a while for the heck of it. Apparently other kids do also. For what it's worth, I donated 10 Macs to my son's school and they use them and they use them to access MacNN specifically on my recommendation for any Mac-related questions. They're not supposed to, but they happen to lurk here at the forums. It's a shame that MacNN is going to lose a certain user base because of a few people who can't tone it down or who don't think of others. We're not asking for a PG-rated site, just some common sense.

That's true, too.

About IP banning, it's easy to change an IP address - just use Firefox.

Meanwhile, I'll pick more lint out of my bellybutton and watch this fine thread go up in smoke.

Yeah, but if you really TALK to him, like through IM like I have, he's okay.

I think he gets a bad rap around here sometimes. Sure, he's posted some crap that gets flamed, but he's made some good points around here. He's just another human being, that's all.
