when i play songs on my iBook with iTunes, i get an effect between songs that is one of overlapping fading out of old song and fading in of the new song.

i like the way it sounds.

i cannot figure out how to replicate this feature when listening on my iPod.

can it be done?

That, too, was what I was most hoping for in the iPod. However, with the current iPod software, it's sadly impossible to replicate.

I'm sitting here w/my PB at work tonight and enjoying my 455 song SuperMix (basically all hit singles from every album/genre... No deep or album cuts). The fading between songs adds a lot to the presentation (and my mood).

Any technophiles know if it's possible with 3rd gen iPod hardware for this to be implemented in a future SW update? I love my iPod, but having the PowerBook here is glorious... If not overkill.

on a similar note, does anyone know how to have no fade/pause at all between songs? i listen to a lot of live tracks, and that little burp is annoying.

The ONLY way this can be done is if you record rip the Album....Or songs....as a single track when you put into iTunes.

That burp sucks big time. It really messes up your listening experience when you have albums with no break in between songs.
