is there anything better on the new ipod photo? it seems pretty much to be the same to me, and with buy.com on blow out, the 40 gig model seems a better deal, only a few bucks more.
plus, i guess the old model comes with a firewire cable. am i missing something?

The new ones don't come with Firewire cable, Dock or AV Cables. other than the size they are about the same.

How about battery life? I couldn't find the spec. for the older 40G model. I wonder if the older model has similar battery life with the new 30G model?
If the 40G has similar battery life the clearance price is great.
Thanks alot.

The battery life on the outgoing 40GB models was the same as the current models. With the new model you're losing the accessories and a little thickness
