is it still possible to add applecare after you purchase an ibook? Friend of mine wants to buy an ibook at macmall, but doesnt want to make the decision yet. I though you could still buy it (and apple would offer it) at the end of the year, but i just want to make sure. Thanks in advance.

Yes, you have one year to add Apple care.

I would highly recommend that your friend purchase AppleCare. Yes, you can purchase within the first year. The only loss is after 90 days you loose phone support. Good luck.
