Ok, so i might run OS9 one more time in my life, but i am looking to replaced my bondi imac with an old powerbook that can still run some of my old favs. Was there ever a 12" powerbook that could boot into OS9?
TIA

according to lowendmac some (but not all) 12" titanium 867 powerbooks could boot into 9.
oops: scratch the titanium part.

No 12" PB (all were Al) ever made can boot OS 9. You're confusing them with the Ti 867 PB (15").

Correct.
The 12" Powerbook was introduced in January 2003, and it and the 17" Powerbook were the first Powerbooks that could NOT boot into OS 9 (though both can run it within Classic).
The 15" Titanium was still offered for a few months and could still boot into OS 9. It was replaced by the 1GHz AlBook 15" in summer 2003

You can have it boot into OSX and automatically run a OS 9 program which will
boot in Classic.....

Many programs don't even work in classic, I know I have several that only run in OS9.
